Laura is a highly skilled and experienced property Solicitor working in our Residential Property department in our Hanley office. Laura has a strong background in Conveyancing providing exceptional legal service to clients for over many years. She has previously worked in a large regional firm supervising and providing technical expertise to the Property team specifically on high risk, unusual and complex property transactions.

Laura has a wide-ranging skillset in Conveyancing and receives instructions in including shared ownership and affordable housing, transfers of equity, equity release matters, clients based abroad, high value properties, transfers of part, company mortgages and lease extensions or anything with an unusual or different element to the transactions.

Examples of Laura’s work includes the successful completion of complex residential property transactions such as -

- The investigation of a property, with agricultural land, registered under five title numbers and including some possessory land.
- She has acted on behalf of the buyer of a shared ownership, where the seller was simultaneously staircasing to purchase the remainder of the property share.
- The acquisition of a high value property with agricultural elements, where the access was owned by various third parties.
- Dealing with change of ownership from individuals to their company, on a portfolio of properties, including dealing with the SDLT returns.
- The purchase of a property with a simultaneous lease extension and deed of variation.
Laura has experience dealing with high value properties valued in excess of a Millions of pounds and has strong negotiation skills when dealing with legal representatives and other parties to safeguard client’s interests.
